Zirconia is a highly durable and versatile mineral, scientifically known as zirconium dioxide. There are various types of zirconia, each designed for specific applications. Harder zirconia is ideal for posterior crowns, offering superior strength, while more translucent, esthetic zirconia is better suited for anterior restorations. We utilize three types of zirconia powders—3Y, 4Y, and 5Y—where the "Y" stands for yttria, a key stabilizing compound in zirconia. Among these, 4Y is exceptionally well-balanced, providing both strength and translucency, making it suitable for a wide range of dental applications. Our zirconia is available in white, yellow, gray, and pink, which we blend in precise ratios to achieve classic VITA shades like A1 and A2. Each shade follows our proprietary formulation, mixed in our V-blender for 80 minutes to ensure consistency and optimal performance. This meticulous process results in zirconia that embodies both strength and natural vitality, meeting the highest standards for dental restorations.
